The two-year literacy curriculum that prepares all children for first grade

SUPER START is a two-year literacy program for transitional kindergarten and kindergarten that provides explicit instruction in the foundational skills necessary to move children from readiness to reading.

The seamless, developmentally appropriate curriculum is made up of Happily Ever After, a reading readiness program based on children’s literature, and Superkids, a phonics-based program for beginning readers.

SUPER START: A Continuum of Success!

Happily Ever After includes beautifully illustrated stories, rich vocabulary development, strong phonological training, and a wealth of hands-on activities that delight children and foster their confidence as they develop the skills they need to learn to read.		In Meet the Superkids children meet the Superkids characters, learn to identify and write 13 capital and lowercase letters, associate each letter with one sound, and blend those sounds to decode and encode words and sentences.		In Superkids’ Club children learn the remaining 13 letters of the alphabet, decode and encode hundreds of new words, read engaging stories, and develop their writing skills. By the end of kindergarten, children are really reading—and ready for first grade!
